Questions with be

Form present and past questions with the verb be.

Grammar rules

  • Move am, is, are, was or were before the subject.
  • Do not add do or does to a be question.

  • Using a form that does not agree with the subject or noun.
  • Using the correct words in the wrong order.
  • Adding or omitting a required auxiliary, article or preposition.
