Data Deletion Policy
How verified deletion requests are handled across connected Angrezi Guru systems.
Maximum Lawful Effect. These provisions are intended to allocate risk and limit liability to the maximum extent lawfully permitted. Nothing in this document excludes, restricts, waives or overrides a right, remedy, warranty, duty or liability that applicable law makes mandatory or prohibits the parties from excluding. Where a limitation conflicts with mandatory law, it will apply only to the maximum lawful extent and the remainder will continue in effect.
1. Scope
This Policy applies to deletion requests concerning personal information held by the Angrezi Guru Group, subject to applicable law and lawful retention obligations.
2. Request Method
Send the request to support@angreziguru.com with the subject “Data Deletion Request” and identify the account or service concerned.
3. Verification
Reasonable identity verification may be required to prevent fraudulent or malicious deletion. Verification may use registered email, phone, OTP or other proportionate evidence.
4. Authorised Requests for Minors
Where required, a parent or lawful guardian may need to verify authority before requesting deletion of a minor learner's information.
5. Data That May Be Deleted
Subject to law and operational requirements, this may include profile information, optional preferences, inactive learning activity, non-essential communications data and other personal information no longer required.
6. Data That May Be Retained
Information may be retained where reasonably necessary for payment/accounting/tax records, fraud prevention, security, certificates, contractual records, legal claims, dispute resolution, regulatory obligations or another lawful purpose.
7. Deletion from Connected Systems
A verified deletion request may need to be propagated across relevant Angrezi Guru systems such as AGLP, Education CRM and AGO One, subject to lawful retention exceptions and technical backup cycles.
8. Backups
Deleted information may remain temporarily in secure backups until the relevant backup is overwritten or expires, provided it is not restored for ordinary active use except where necessary for disaster recovery.
9. Effect on Learning Records
Deletion may permanently remove access to saved progress, assessment history, certificates, entitlements, receipts, communications and other account-linked features where those records are not legally required to be retained.
10. Anonymisation
Where complete deletion is not required or is impractical for legitimate aggregate records, information may be irreversibly anonymised so it is no longer personal information.
11. Completion and Confirmation
The Angrezi Guru Group should process verified requests within the period required by applicable law and may confirm completion or explain any lawful retention.
12. Complaints
If you believe a deletion request has not been handled appropriately, contact support@angreziguru.com with the original request details.
13. Mandatory Rights
Nothing in this Policy restricts statutory data-protection rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be restricted.
